Spend 3 hours with us as we depart Portree harbour and head north towards Holm Island and its fantastic bird sanctuary. We’ll pass many notable landmarks including Bearreraig Bay, Mealt Falls, Brothers Point and, of course, the famous KIlt Rock!
Keep your eyes peeled as we head further North into the Minch following the whale trail passing down towards the Isle of Rona and North West Raasay.
There is also a potential stop-off on the Isle of Rona for around 20 minutes, featuring the best of Highland hospitality - a story and a dram!
As with all of our trips you can expect to come across a huge variety of wildlife including Whales, Dolphins, White Tailed Sea Eagles and much more. However, on this particular trip you’ll also be introduced to Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) such as the Trotternish Ridge which is significant for several scientific reasons. A budding geologist on this tour may take an interest in the massive landslides that took place in this area whereas the mountain vegetation surviving above 450m may peak the interest of a keen botanist.
