To ensure your safety she is fully MCA coded to category 3 (R ) for up to 12 passengers and 2 crew. Saorsa is powered by 2 ultra Eco Friendly 300hp 4 stroke outboard engines, with a topped of 40 knots, her superior construction, incredible seakeeping and handling and plenty of internal space, Saorsa can take us further than any of our other boast.
Born and raised on the Isle of Skye, Dan is a true Sgitheanach!
Dan has been running boat trips around Skye since 1998 with the aim of sharing the breath-taking scenery Skye has to offer with the thousands of tourists who visit each year.
Having spent over 40 years sailing the waters around Skye, you’ll struggle to teach this old sea dog a new trick.
Boasting an impressive career spanning 40 years, Iain is one of the most experienced skippers on the island. Having sailed all over the world, Iain is a true globetrotter who has conquered many bodies of water including a crossing of the great Atlantic!
As many do, Iain decided to settle down on Skye and, over the past 30 years, has amassed a wide knowledge and understanding of the wildlife and history of the island.
As a keen photographer, Iain has organised and operated many photography focused trips and knows exactly how to make your trip picture perfect!
Campbell moved to the highlands 5 years ago after being in exile in the Thames Valley for 30 yrs. He worked on the Thames for 15 years driving patrol boats for the navigation authority as a boatman at Cliveden hotel and driving umpire launches and the many rowing regattas on the Thames.
He has a fair bit of sailing experience on the Solent dodging supertankers and also working as a volunteer on a sail training boat out of the River Humber doing Voyages around the UK. Campbell enjoys a good laugh with his passengers and making their trip as memorable as possible. Waffling comes naturally to him and is know to embellish the facts as all good story tellers should!
Another old sea dog who has been sailing the waters around Skye for over 40 years. As a local resident of the Island for over 30 years, Allan really knows his stuff. Specialising in the history of Skye, if you have a question, Allan will have the answer.
Over the years Allan has amassed a vast knowledge of Skye and its local wildlife.

Nobby followed in his fathers footsteps and started fishing at the age of 16. In his 40 years on the water he has worked on fishing boats, Ribs, tugs, landing craft, fish farms. With his excellent knowledge of the sea and endless stories of fact, folklore and down right fiction you are sure to have a memorable trip with this cheeky Skye character.
Originally from Manchester James moved to Skye with his parents in 2003.
Growing up on Skye James found is love of the outdoors, exploring the coastline and the abundant wildlife from his Kayak.
Fast forward a few years and James is working in GRP Lamination for super yachts, but the call of the sea was too much so James went to work on the fish farms where he got his power boat tickets and commercial endorsements.
Now in his new role as Skipper with Stardust Boat Trips he has the opportunity share his love of Skye and its wildlife with our guests.
Moved to Skye 26 years ago for a better quality of life, he has 25 years as a skipper in the fish farm industry with various boats, including, catamarans, fast ribs and landing craft. He navigated in some of the worst weather conditions Skye can trow at you.
Warren has been a skipper with us now for the past 4 years and loves sharing his knowledge and experiences with all our passengers.
